What is the Commodity Spend report?

From the menu, go to 'Reports' and ´Commodity Spend' to get an insight into the total commodity volume and price development within a given period for the products listed in WTP. 

If your own organisation has multiple products listed in WTP, then a number of things are 
known: 
• Which commodities are included in these products; 
• The proportions and weights of these commodities; 
• The volume in which these products were purchased; 
• The supplier from which the relevant product is sourced. 

This allows the WTP application to calculate the total amount of a commodity purchased 
indirectly. This can be expressed both by weight and value. This makes it possible to see the financial impact of certain raw materials. By making smart use of 'Tags', one can create 
different 'Baskets' of items. This allows you to see whether the raw materials of the 
products in a certain product group, or from a certain supplier, have now become cheaper or more expensive on balance in the mix of products which your organisation buys.
