What are Freight Lanes?
Freight Lanes allow you to view actual market prices for a specific freight route. This helps you compare your transportation costs with current market rates. WTP provides data for the following freight lane types:
- Air freight
- Road freight - EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa)
- Road freight - North America
- Sea freight
Freight lane data is provided by Upply.
After selecting a freight lane, WTP displays the minimum, low, median, high and maximum market prices.
The Confidence Index is based on the amount of market data available for the selected freight lane. A very high Confidence Index, indicated by the letter A, means a large number of price observations are available for that specific freight lane. Therefore, the data is based on multiple price points and is very reliable. If there is a low Confidence Index, indicated by the letter D or lower, the result is less reliable because fewer market prices are available.
