What are the Freight Indices?
Freight Indices provide insights into market price developments for different transport routes. Use this information to monitor freight price trends over time and as a starting point for negotiations with your suppliers. To access Freight Indices, navigate to 'Prices & indices' > 'Freight Indices'.
Update Policy of Freight Indices
Freight Indices are updated monthly and displayed as monthly averages. Historical data is available from 2017 onwards.
We provide access to the following indices:
- 6 Air Freight routes
- 59 Road EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) routes
- 5 Road North America routes
- 6 Sea Freight routes
Freight Index data is supplied by our data partner, Upply. New transport routes are added to WTP when they become available from the data provider.
