Industry Cost Profiles (ICP) provide insight into the average cost structure of a specific industry. ICPs form the basis for many calculations in WTP, including should-cost models and Growth Discount calculations. Use them to better understand supplier costs and support price negotiations.
An ICP describes the average cost structure of companies within a specific industry. In WTP, each ICP is based on the selected industry and country or region. The total cost is divided into components such as:

Direct Materials

Direct Labour
-
Manufacturing Overhead
-
GSA
-
Profit Before Tax
Together these make up the Ex Works price.
WTP uses the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) to classify industries. The ICPs are based on publicly available company financial data, resulting in an industry average for each country and sector.
To view ICPs, navigate to 'Cost Profiles' > 'Industry Cost Profiles'.
At the top of the page, your favourite ICPs are displayed. If you have not added ane favourites, this section will be empty.
Below, you'll find the 'Your selection' section. Click '+ Add industries' to browse all available ICPs.
